The PM10 high volume air sampler effectively collects particulates at a flow rate of 36-60 ft³/min through a specially-designed PM10 size selective inlet. As the particulates pass through this inlet, the larger particles are captured while the smaller PM10 particulates continue through to be collected on an 8" x 10" quartz filter paper. This filter paper is pre-weighed before sampling and then again after to accurately measure the weight of particulates smaller than 10 microns. The instrument's flow rate can be easily adjusted using a mass flow controller, volumetric flow controller, or the innovative Tisch Environmental PLUS technology electronic flow controller.
